Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday


Job Location: Calabasas, CA (In-Office)

What You’ll Do:

​

  • Coordinate and track requests for necessary documentation from patients, physicians, and referral sources to ensure the timely processing of DME equipment and supply orders.

  • Initiate and respond to incoming calls and emails regarding patient medical records, to ensure timely turnaround of complete patient files

  • Review acquired documentation for accuracy and completeness

  • Exercise judgment to reach decisions independently to execute the processing of patient accounts when special circumstances are presented

  • Apply appropriate coding on documents for processing to appropriate department(s)

  • Serve as departmental resource to resolve questions about documentation integrity and insurance related documentation guidelines

  • Maintain compliance standards for all documents received in accordance with insurance guidelines, company compliance and HIPAA regulations

  • Help assess potential roadblocks and provide input to management

  • Maintain individual and departmental goals to achieve successful metrics

  • Other duties as assigned

How You’ll Stand Out:

​

  • Healthcare background and/or Medicare experience with familiarity regarding HIPAA regulations and patient privacy compliance preferred

  • Excellent customer service skills (ability to handle sensitive/challenging communications)

  • Ability to handle large volume of incoming documents and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and follow up

  • Capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency

  • Proven skill to multi-task and prioritize workload with frequent interruptions

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • High School graduate or GED required

  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn company-wide databases

Compensation: $22.00-$24.00/hour
