We have a terrific opportunity for an Insurance Verification Representative who wants to join our team in our Calabasas office (this position is not remote).
What You’ll Do:

Verify medical insurance benefits with accuracy and timeliness to obtain benefit information, determining insurance compatibility with health-care provider for DME

Navigate through multiple online insurance verification systems to obtain required information for patient intake

Obtain verification information from private insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid
-
Obtain re-verification of existing patient insurance coverage to determine if insurance benefit plan considers selected products appropriate based on patient need.

Obtain authorizations if required by an insurance carrier for DME services from appropriate department to ensure accurate claims processing.

Respond and follow-up on daily incoming emails from other departments to resolve questions related to patient billing, insurance verification, posting, etc.

Handle frequent daily incoming calls from insurance companies inquiring about patient questions, documentation requests, and miscellaneous requests as needed

Ensure accurate entry of patient insurance information into patient database

Proactively request any necessary documentation prior to making verification or notification calls

Prioritize daily workload from daily reports

Adhere to current departmental processes and have a thorough understanding of any changes that are implemented

Maintain individual and departmental goals to achieve successful metrics
